In 1972, the first franchise is sold.

In 1978, the 1000th location opens.

In 1979, Wendy’s was the first chain to introduce a salad bar.

By 1983, there are 2500 locations.

In 1985, the company merges with Tim Hortons.

By 1987, there are 5000 locations.

In 2002, founder Dave Thomas dies.

In 2006, the company headquarters is moved to Dublin, Ohio where they remain today.

In 2008, the company merged with Triac, owner of Arby’s.

On Sunday, October 26th 2014,
My wife and I went to eat at wendy’s at 3750 Utopia Dr, Miramar, FL 33023. My wife found a sticker stuck to the bottom of the meat portion inside the sandwich (must’ve gotten cooked with the meat). We went to show it to the clerk and she showed it to the team. They offered us a free sandwich but we refused and walked out disgusted. Later my wife developed hives all over her arms and back and so did I, we ended up in the E.R. when it wasn’t getting any better. The doctor said it must’ve been a foreign body that caused this and the grill or meat could’ve been dirty. Three days later we are still suffering from the itch just because of negligence in handling/preparing the food. I’ve contacted wendy’s and explained everything to corporate then I got a call back from the general manager who had no idea about it because the shift manager nor the staff brought it up. Later they called to offer a refund to the meal and to pick any meal off the menu for free out of generosity. I am shocked at how inconsiderate people can be to belittle such incident where nothing was reported. We’ve been suffering because we ate a dirty meal at a reputable franchise. I’ve called to ask not to destroy any video evidence but was told this is out of their hands.

I am putting you on notice not to destroy video evidence and asking Wendy’s to compensate me for my wife’s medical bill in addition to our pain and suffering after eating at this place.

Thank you

I went to the Wendys today 10/27/2014 around 1:45 I did not see the health inspection so I ask for it and they said the fram broke so it wasnt posted but the score a 92. I was ok with that however, i went around the store and saw on the window the inspection score was a 91 so I bagan the question myself. I went the the health inspection website and found that the score was an 82. I was most unhappy with the attitude I got after asking about the score and then th ebe LIED to that make me more angry. As I alo work in food service i am knowledgeable of the rules and regulations. I hope to hear back from someone in a timly matter as i WILL be taking this a step futher. Thanks Jessica

I am a US Veteran who works for Wendys in Ramsey ,NJ. I have 8 years of Wendys Experience. I was a shift supervisor prior to be active. I work hard for the company
The GM Carlos Munoz disrespects his employees. I was working one day and he was the only one there and guess what? The next manager and myself found a used condomn in the back!!!. I have worked hard and a employee who has been there for 3 months was promoted to shift supervisor above me. I have the training , experience , and give my 100 percent. I live very close to the store. I am very disappointed how Wendys at this store treats its veterans. I hope equality and fairness one day is instilled in this store.

I have the qualifications , experience , and training. They expect me to help train the new shift supervisor and cradle him. He got a lay raise exceeding mine but no experience and less work. I’m disgusted . If you really care the correction would done. The GM lacks any logic reason. Again, I love Wendys but not the unfair treatment of loyal employees.

First and foremost I would like to say that I am 46 years old and I have been eating at Wendy’s since I was a kid and Wendy’s was always my favorite place to eat hamburgers and I preferred your fast food restaurant over all the other competitors. The majority of the time that I have eaten at your Wendy’s Restaurants at many locations across the country I was more than satisfied with the quality of the food being served and the customer service being given. However, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and the closest Wendy’s to me is located at 1151 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. I normally am not a complainer. However that being said I ate at this particular location on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at approximately 6:15pm Pacific Time. I ordered a large Triple Burger Combo with no cheese, Large Fries and a Diet Coke. First of all I would like to inform you of how unprofessional the employees were and ignored not only me but several people in front of me when I ordered at the counter. Also I would like to talk about the quality of the food. The diet coke and the fries were good and in my opinion they should be because it is hard to screw up something that easy to prepare. However the Triple Burger I ate was absolutely horrible. It was obvious that whoever prepared that burger didn’t take any pride at all in doing there job. If I was that employee that prepared the burger they served me. I would ask myself is that a burger that I would eat myself? Like I said before I believe this is a direct reflection on the Management at that Wendy’s location. I would like to suggest if at all possible that maybe you can have Wendy’s District Manager’s make unannounced visits at there locations to see first hand the decline of customer service and the preparation of food. This is not the first time that I have had poor customer service and poor food preparation at this Wendy’s location it has happened many times in the past 6 months. I only hope that someone at the Corporate Level will actually read the positive comments as well as the complaints about Wendy’s so that they can rectify this situation and make Wendy’s a place that I enjoy eating at in the future.

Regarding Wendy’s in 76262-Alliance

It was around 8pm on 10/6/14 when I went to the drive thru. There was no one in line, however it took a long time for someone to take my order. The seemed like they didn’t care and were mumbling thru the speaker. I ordered a jr bacon cheeseburger for $1.89 and a value fry for .99. When I pulled up to the window the associate just stuck out his hand for a payment. I gave him $5 and he only gave me a bag of food. I asked him about getting change back and he said no it was $5 even. I asked him a few more times if he was sure, he said yes. Then I told him I wanted my receipt and he laughed and said, “Oh sorry you’re right including .24 tax the total is only $3.12″ and he gave me change. The receipt he did give me was very short, doesn’t have the store# or store phone number on it. I do not think this is even the full receipt. The name on the receipt says Leonor. I immediately called the store and asked to speak to a manager. The person that answered the phone told me his name was Larry and he was the manager. I told him what happened. He told me that he was the associate at the window who messed up my change and that he didn’t see what the problem was because in the end I got my change so it wasn’t a big deal. He never apologized, was unprofessional, came off as if he was trying to steal, and came off as if he wasn’t really the manger. We used to go to Wendy’s all the time, however if we continue to go in the future I do not think we will go to this location. Service was horrible.

I am very disappointed to say that as a huge fan of wendys i will NEVER again go.to the wendys in winder ga. The cashiers are extremely rude and hateful, the managers are no better. When i called to complain about my service the night before i was met with the same rude and hateful attitudes. Today, i called and spoke with the gm of the store directly and the outcome was not much better, actually the only difference was that she offered to replace my ᤾2 sandwiches, but not the rest of my order. The people working in this store are the worst customer service people and seem to care nothing about their work or customers. I hate to say that this is close to being.my last visit to a Wendy’s at all.

Tonight while making an order at the drive through at your store at
7846 Garners ferry rd
Columbia S.C.
I had forgot a drink and asked the young ladie at the window if she could and she was very rude saying we don’t change orders at the window. I was handed my order and drove off with out my drink after getting to my hotel I saw I was charged for a drink and did not recive it. The young lady’s name is Arnae m.
Thought you would like to know that some employees may need to be trained on how to let people know some thing is not aloud.

Dear Sirs,

I know you are a family run business. How can you sponsor Dance Moms?
From one Dance competition Mom to another or to just DM fans in general I have a confession to make. For a long time now I have come back to this madness we love/hate called Dance Mom’s. I have completely cleared my schedule so that 9-10 on Tuesdays is free and open. The kids know if they are going to get sick or need anything wait until 10. It was a night I shared as Mom/daughter time with my dance girl. AND I AM ASHAMED.

I am ashamed as a Mother even of an adult dancer what I have encouraged and put in front of her. I am ashamed that I have sat by week after week making excuses for (It’s got to be fake-The kids know its not real-Well maybe its real) Trying to justify watching this train wreck that you cannot just seem to take your eyes off of. I began to look up things online and began to see scores not matching. Kids having dances we never knew won. I began to see the editing of a verbal fight take place and wow the Moms and Kids must be magicians. They can put there hair up and down in the blink of an eye and change clothes too.

In the first season we saw pieces of meanness come out of Miller. But I also saw some decent things and some compassion as well. Chloe falls Abby asks is she OK. Hugging Brooke. Second season things slowly began to change. Chloe beat Maddie at Nationals d ana title. Chloe got the Lux video and Miller changed. It was no more about having a favorite that we had seen since day one. It was about making everyone else less than.

Week after week I watched girls get red in the face and cry, have panic attacks, have chairs thrown at them, be mocked for their feet, be told they were stupid, telling Moms you need to take her to a doctor she’s not right in the head. This had gotten personal and uncalled for, It was no longer about just dance corrections it was about personal issues. It became about telling kids not to obey their parents to take a cab to dance . Mocking them and calling them babies.

Kim of Queens premiered and I watched her after a DM show. I saw a compassionate but firm coach who was a former Miss Georgia mold and shape little girls for the best. Yes she made them work but she saw the jewel in each one and she polished it to come out. I felt happy and refreshed watching Kim. She kept the Moms in their place and all but one respected her. Kim had no favorites, all was worth. When the one Mother got out of hand Kim took care of removing Angie while still leaving the daughter with self worth and self respect and has never taken something out on a child because she did not like her Mother. Kim don’t play and she knows how to handle slackers. She also know how to encourage her child who has just frozen on the stage to finish and that she can do it. They would move heaven and earth for Kim.

Then I see the mess with the Hyland girls going on and I cringe inside. I feel literally a knot in my stomach watching these kids get abused and wondering why don’t their Mothers do something whats wrong with them. Then Kelly did do something she snapped. She had had enough, we would have too had that been us. I am ashamed that after that scenerio that I came back to watch more kids hurt every week. I was a hypocrite complaining about the abuse and still watching.

The love of the girls always pulls us back in though and we began another season that has just only gotten worse. After watching the treatment of Chloe last night I felt sick to my stomach. Literally. I had read ahead so I knew she had made the comment to Chloe that was tweeted by not one but two witnesses at the competition “She needs to get her lazy eye fixed she will never get work. Fix her face” which was in reference to a health sinus issue Chloe had. And I realized something after finishing that episode and watching that little girl break down. Enough is enough. It would not have mattered if it was Nia or anyone else. And to tell your student you pulled from another studio “You better beat that girl” is beyond low. That is your student Abby you have taught since age two.

I am ashamed I allowed myself to sit back this long and not walk away. Miller has no business around children. Her ego has gotten bigger than she is. She is the exact opposite of her great Mother with an exact opposite teaching style. I don’t know what happened to Abby but its obvious she has a lot of past issues shes still dealing with and the cycle continues. Verbal abuse is the excessive use of language to undermine someone’s dignity and security through insults or humiliation in a sudden or repeated way.

Even if Chloe was to come back I could have no respect for Christi for reengaging in that. Chloe has a great Mom to stand up and advocate for her daughter. She stopped the madness. She said Enough is enough. The video they prepared ahead of time says it all. It’s on Youtube called NobodyisYOU

Kelly, Brooke and Paige had enough. Christi and Chloe have had enough. I have had enough. I am totally ashamed it took me so long to get here just to excuse my actions with “But I just want to watch them dance”. Christi tweeted one time if we ever saw what went on behind the scenes we’d never watch again. I don’t know everything that is behind the scenes but I am done. I am done with anything Collins or Abby related and possibly with Lifetime.
PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR PARTNERSHIP WITH SPONSORING DANCE MOMS

This is a follow-up to my complaint. I will not do business with Legacy Restuarant Group in Topeka, Ks. However, I will give Wendys another shot because Corporate truly does care. I received a phone call from Robert “Bob” Wright, COO of Wendys who was very kind, apologetic, and truly cares about his customers. After a lengthy conversation with Mr. Wright I found that he is passionate about the company name and I believe that others within the company are as well. There are bad apples, every company has them. Even some people I may work with, may not do things properly or follow policy. These people shouldn’t be the cause of you not wanting to due business with a company anymore. I’ve found that if I go to a different Wendys or a Wendys that is not owned by the same people who had a poor experience with, then maybe you could see that there are Wendys that care about the customer and a job well done. I know that corporate Wendys cares about these things and have to believe that others do too.

The woman who made my bbq pulled pork on October 10 2014 2:50 pm got angry that i wanted lettuce instead of coleslaw and started to sweat at me. I confronted her back and she continued arguing with as if me wanting the sandwich that way was really making get angry then she started laughing at me. This was at your Westfield location. Was very embarrassed especially skincare by myself and it seemed that she was trying to encourage other employees to gang up on me. Thank you for your time.

I was a previous employee of Wendy’s located at 2031 E Oaklabd Park Blvd. Fort Lauderdadle, FL 33306. The first few months of working there was ok, although I will admit that I was tardy a lot & misplaced my name tag most of the time. I was told that if I can’t find my name tag, I couldn’t work. This has happened at least four times. The general manager, Nyron is very professional, fair and understanding. However, he could do a lot better at managing the store. The training was weird & quite vague. I never completed all of the online assessments. Some days I would be on the computer & some days I would be training hands on.
The store needs a lot of work. There are ants, roaches & flies inside the restaurant & sometimes the customers noticed it. Working at Wendys was a horrible experience for me because there was so much drama & negativity inside the store. It rubbed off on me & it was putting a lot of stress on me. The shift supervisor, Phidianna Francois & I have had a disagreement twice. I pity her & her lack of professionalism disgusts me. I don’t feel like she fits this position. She gossips about people behind their backs & talks about personal problems at work. I’ve witnessed her disrespect a co-worker of mine SEVERAL times. Rather than praising the employees when they do good, she rather find something nasty to say. She also speaks creole so that no one knows what she is talking about. I will admit she has tried helping me countless times. But, once i seen who she was behind the mask, my respect for Phidianna has gone out the window. I cursed her out & quit. I couldnt take it anymore. I reached my breaking point. I cant work at wendys knowing I wasnt happy there. Too much. Negative energy. I wanted to cause severe harm to Phidianna, but instead I prayed for her. Dave Thomas would be so disappointed! I need the corporate office number PRONTO. I would like my last check(s) to be mailed to my home address

My name is William Stewart, I’ve just got employeed by Wendy’s at 4965 Flat Shoals in Decatur, Ga, my first night working was last night. When I got there it was a issue with my name tag, I ask could they put the name Chase on it and the managers William and Faye told me no after I told the on the application it ask what name would I rather go by and they told me my name on my birth certificate will get put on it. After a couple minutes go by theu bring the name tag and it had the name STEWART on it. I didn’t get any training and the manager Faye expected me to know where things where and hope to operate some of the machines. If I run out of fry and nugget boxes and tell her she wouldn’t just let me go get the necessary things I was needing; the she hollar at me when she ask for a order that’s been on the screen and it’s not up yet. I have to remind her I ask you give minutes ago that I needed these things. After I scrub and mopped the entire store I got some water bc I’ve been there 6 hours with nothing to drink and again she raises her voice bc I told her I needed something to drink. At the end of the night she went in the system and did something to my time , so I asked her can I get my TIME SLIP FOR MY PERSONAL RECORDS AND SHE DENIED ME THE RIGHT TO HAVE IT AFTER I WITNESS THE TWO OTHER EMPLOYEES HAVE THERES. THE RESTAURANT IS BEING RAN LIKE A CONCENTRATION CAMP AND I’VE HAD SEVERAL EMPLOYEES COME TO ME NOT HAPPY. I’ve heard them down talk the employees cursing and threating them, I honestly think the store needs to be under new management, I’ve been a manager of a restaurant and I’m pretty sure the way they are running it that’s not the correct way. I also think the company needs to send someone Unhappy New Hire

I feel Dave Thomas is rolling in his grave and his daughter should be ashamed of Wendy’s, in Ormond Beach, Fl at 75 Williamson Blvd., Store #00002062.

Finally have decided this will be the last time to go to Wendy’s!!! Today, October 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM, my husband went to get us a Wendy’s #1, it took longer, because they told him they were doing fresh meat hamburgers, ok a littler longer should be fresh and hot, right?? Well when he brought our #1′s home they were less than warm, French fries cold, (must have been leftovers from lunch hour)…terrible meal!!! We only live2 miles from this Wendy’s, so meal should of gotten cold for the short distance. What a lousy mEal, thus was!!!

I think those who work there and those in corporate could care less, just give their order who cares what it’s like!! Rude, ignorant, hostile, people work there and it also must be true about corporate, also Wendy, Dave Thomas’ daughter really doesn’t care… Money, money, money, is what they want, but they won’t be getting mine any more, they could care less about the customer.

Note, please don’t have the store manager call me and offer a replacement, why would I want a replacement of a cold meal?

Please be assured that everyone I know will be told about cold meals from Wendy’s.

Dear Mr Brolick
I am very concerned about your Wendy’s. Restaurant. Located in Memphis tn at 3990 south third st.
I visited this location today at 3:11pm Oct 1.
I ordered a loaded potato, and a small Apple pecan salad. When I received my order I checked it befor leaving the drive thru
I was appalled at the appearance of the chicken that was n the salad it was 3 chunks of old dried up chix.
I told the cashier I wasn’t pleased with the presentation of the chix it wasn’t sliced and the serving was inadequate, I received the wrong dressing, instead of calling for the manager,or taking the initiative to solve the problem, she screamed in the back of the restaurant to tell employees the complaint,
The resolution was telling me that is the amount of chixt they put on the salad 3 of the female employers look out the window and just frown at me.
I was so upset I didn’t realize until I got home I wasn’t
given a receipt for my purchase,
I have worked in the food and hospitality business for over 20 years and I have never seen such lack of pride in an establishment such as this,
Wendy’s definitely need to redefine their motto
Because quality and freshness of products is not being fulfilled at this location, customer service skills are also lacking among the staff.
Mr Brolick I have noticed online Customer Service
And product quality is among the highest ranked
Complaints, this tells me two things, either you are hiring the wrong people to represent your brand,or the
Company itself doesn’t care about the people who are buying their product!
Wendy’s have been around since 1969
I would suggest if Wendy’s franchise’s. wish to remain open thru 2014, I would like to humbly recommend as CEO you start taking customer complaints very serious.and start resolving the problems, and spend more money on training staff.
I grew up with Wendy’s in our neighborhoods as a child,I would hate to see Wendy’s become only a
Memory, because of the closings, once customers no longer want to purchase food products because of
lack of concern and false advertising among this company.
Sincerely
Rita Campbell

When I mistakenly ordered a chocolate shake a few years ago, I was treated with the most delicious surprise. Since then, I have gone exclusively to Wendy’s when I get fast food so that I can enjoy the best chocolate shake if any fast food chain. I was disappointed yesterday when my local Wendy’s said they could not make a chocolate shake, just strawberry or vanilla. I cancelled my order and went to Subway. I decided to try again today. Again they said they could not make chocolate shakes, but they included the word “anymore”. They let me know that corporate has decided to discontinue all shakes. I am extremely disappointed and sad to say that I will not be choosing Wendy’s any more.

Hi my name is Bianka l. Garcia I have recently been employed at wendys August 30th 2014 at location 3801 west broward blvd and 441 Fort Lauderdale fl 33312 . Recently Friday night September 26, 2014 I left the wendys store during working hours because I felt as if I was being treated unfairly . My supervisor for the night Ms. Neicy deliberately payed hands on me when I did not get an order right and in a forceful manor pulled me and proceded to yell in my face. Feeling threaten I did nothing to retaliate she kept antagonizing me and falsely accused me to be on the telephone when I was clearly in range of a camera . She then refused me the privilege to use the bathroom 3 times unless I I exchanged my phone . Still antagonizing she repeatedly walk through the restaurant making remarks saying that me as well as two other employers are upsetting her and making threats and profanity that we better not make her go there because we are not going to like it. I then could not take any more threats so in fear my reaction was to walk out the store where I was locked out and let go for job abandonment . I feel like I was treated unfairly and am willing to take legal action if the matter is not at least discussed ! Thank you please get back to me – bianka garcia ( garcia.bXXXX@yahoo.com ) (954)774-XXXX
